Memorial Design

Our memorial’s design is not complete.  We have a model and a concept design.

The drawings found here are only representations as to what the memorial could look like.  The existing design takes into consideration the existing beauty of the approximately eight acre Homestead Site.  Our memorial is about one acre and will take advantage of the large trees to create a park-like center. The final version will be based on availability of funds.  Simply stated, we will build based on the level of support for the memorial from the citizens of Chapel Hill.

Here are some still drawings of the design.  The existing trees were photographed and the memorial was drawn to scale as an overlay.  This gives us the opportunity to image the memorial as it will look with the actual trees.
